NOGABAND is a musical ensemble led by violinist and ethnomusicologist Michal Noga. The group reconstructs and revives old styles of Slovak folk music, and Michal Noga, in addition to leading this group, also works as a lecturer and organizer of music workshops.
In 2020, the band released their debut album Stopy, which won the Radio_Head Award as Album of the Year (2020) in the World Music/Folk genre category. Nogaband was the first Slovak group to find its own, 22nd place on the October 2020 top list of the prestigious Transglobal World Music Chart panel.
