MICHAL NOGA (1987) an excellent violinist, ethnologist, interpreter of traditional music of Slovakia and a great connoisseur of the heritage of Central Europe, is coming to Serbia for the first time, where, in addition to concerts with his Nogaband in Novi Sad and Padina, he will also hold a lecture on traditional music and the scene of Slovakia.

At the lecture RICH AND VITAL, OLD MUSIC OF SLOVAKIA, which will be held in Novi Sad, in the Zenit Books bookstore and bar, on November 10, 2023, starting at 3 p.m., Michal will present the musical characteristics of different regions in Slovakia, forms of vocal and instrumental practice, singing styles, types of instruments and their function, traditional ensembles, as well as the heritage of various national communities in Slovakia, among which, in addition to the dominant Slovaks, there are also Roma, Ruthenians and others.

The lecture is in English and is an open one, so anyone interested can attend. Entrance is free.
